Does that make me crazy? Possibly.

I was a bit hesitant when Jessica at Style Obsession tagged me to show the contents of my bag. Mostly because this is what the inside of a bag should look like:

simple and chic (Jessica, let me know if you want me to take down your picture.) And mine is NOT like that. I don't know how people live with such basic (yet glamorous) contents in their purse. Mine looks nice from the outside:

but when the guts are poured out onto the dining room table... it's a different story:

No, this is not a joke. No, I haven't added anything for comical value. This is really what I tote around on a day to day basis.
So here we go. The hidden story of my life as a purse hoarder.

1. kate spade shoes because sometimes you need a quick break from heels.

2. Four mechanical pencils (I hate pens with a passion and only use them when absolutely necessary.)

3. Orbits gum

4. 14 packets of splenda and a starbucks stopper. (I don't know. I'm compulsive every time I walk by splenda. Yes, I know I'm getting cancer.)

5. Beauty products: mirror, nail file, eyeliner, mascara, nail polish, cuticle clippers, lotion, lipstick, two burt's bees, two lip glosses (do I really need to defend these?)

6. Headband, 12 hair ties, four bobby pins (I don't know)

7. stamps, a post-it note with an address that I don't recognize, D&G wallet, a thank you note from a baby shower last month, my work ID badge, sunglasses, tape measure, a key to the office I don't work at anymore...

8. Electronics: flip video camera, cell phone, ipod touch, gps, (camera not shown)

9. Earphones, the USB cord for my camera, car/apartment/mail keys and assorted key chains

10. Cranberry pills, Ambien I snagged from my mom, tampons (TMI?), Tylenol, toothbrush, toothpaste, earplugs (for some reason I am completely paranoid that I am going to get stuck sleeping somewhere and not have toothbrush and earplugs. I'm insane.)

So there you go. I have no excuse. Also, to make things worse, this is the recently cleaned out version. I usually have a sleepmask, superglue, hand wipes, band aids, perfume...
