Last Christmas post...
I just went looking at lights with my family and realized some people actually broadcast Christmas music from their house and set their lights to it. I thought that was just commercials and not real people.
Silly me...
We actually ran across five houses that did this. Can you imagine their electric bills?
Toe lingerie? Cuter than it sounds...
If you ever struggle with toe cleavage, these might be the perfect answer for you. Voet hosiery lets a little lace peek out of your shoes.

I don't know. I think I might really like them. They are like a camisole for your feet!

Three things I love Thursday: December 24, 2009
1. New covers for Penguin classics

2. These gingerbread houses made for mugs

3. My boyfriend gave me Jem and the Holograms on DVD for part of my Christmas present! She's truly truly outrageous!

Merry Christmas Eve!

second chance clothes
It's funny to me that I was trying to pick out something to wear this morning and I ran across the lavender ruffle top I bought to be Daphne for Halloween.
Somehow, I had compartmentalized the shirt in my mind as a "costume" and threw it into my bottomless pit drawer that also includes costume related suspenders, vampire teeth and wigs. So it's almost like I got a new top this morning!
Do you ever find clothes you thought were only good for one or two occasions and realize you can work them into your everyday wardrobe?
(By the way, I just noticed you can see the gum I'm chewing in that second picture. I'm classy.)

Cupcake decorating made easy
Another much-easier-than-it-looks holiday recipe! First start off by making cupcakes. Follow the recipe on a cake mix box and ice them with premade icing. (I used gingerbread cake and cream cheese icing.)
Divide left over icing and mix half with red food coloring, half with green. Add to ziplock bags and snip the tips.
Draw circles, alternating red and green from center of cupcake to the outside. (Don't worry if they are messy, you will smear them anyway.) Now, take a toothpick and draw lines from the center out.
Then, draw lines from the outside to the center, in between the other lines.
Ta-Dah again! Beyond easy but a big effect.
