The beautiful people's beauty book: How to achieve the look and manner of the world's most attractive women
A book by Princess Luciana Pignatelli, discusses her beauty ideas in 1970.
On dieting:"When you have to watch calories, it is much easier to eat alone. This does not mean you have to give up men's company, but ideally, you should have a man who is not always around."
On skincare:"An excellent astringent mask, the rage a few years ago with Paris homosexuals, is this: Take the white of one egg, a teaspoon of the best olive oil, beat, apply for 20 minutes. Remove with a hot face towel, lace trim optional."
On disguising your imperfections:"Not all irregularities result in striking beauty. Many women have defects they prefer to camouflage or eliminate rather than emphasize. When the choice is between looking like a character study or being as pretty and attractive to men as possible, I am for women who opt for the latter."
On lifestyle and beauty:"If your lifestyle is casual, add a few eyelashes and maybe a hairpiece and forget exotic endeavors."
On creams and aging:"As for the woman with a droopy eyelid who wants to know whether there might be a cream for it, I tell her no, a cream will help only after you've had the plastic surgery."
So amazing...
Bowpril
This all started when Stephanie was challenged to wear animal print every day in March without repeating anything. And she did it with ever the ease.So I was thinking I could easily do the same thing with bows. When I’m in stores, I tend to gravitate towards them. They are just such a sweet feminine touch. And they make me kinda feel like I should still be playing hopscotch on my lunch break. (Unless the bows are on a pair of 4 inch heels.)
And so, the month of April will be transformed into the month of Bowpril. Chris was pushing for Bowtober because it sounded better, but who wants to wait six months for the joy that a month of bows will bring.
So each day, I will post a picture of my bow of the day. Yay. I’m probably way too excited for this…

Hmm

I found them on ShopStyle which means they have to be real. Also, they are $1295 so they can't be that old. And they aren't being sold at the big department stores or being featured on his site so they can't be brand new either. I don't particularly like them, I am just confused as to where and when they are from...
Pretend outfit of the day

Stormy Weather Dress- I've never bought from here before. I always see ads for ModCloth on Perez's site. But since it is pretend shopping, I don't have to worry about the site being shady!

Chloe "Terry" Ballet Flat - Black. These are cute, but also look quite comfortable.http://madisonlosangeles.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=7987
I didn't choose any items from Betsey because I knew I would actually buy them...
Sorry for disappearing...
So don’t hate me for silent Saturdays and Sundays. Although, from now on I am going to have to post on the weekend because of Bowpril. GET EXCITED EVERYONE! (If you don’t know about Bowpril, I will be explaining in detail tomorrow. Tune in!)

Onezie, Twozie, I Love Shoezies
But my feeling is, if I'm going to buy Christian Louboutins, it is kind of a waste to not get pumps. I do need a sweet feminine sandal for summer though. As much as I would like to be Victoria Beckham and wear 5 inch heels everywhere including amusement parks and soccer games, some times I need a pair of flats.
Unfortunately, I have heard that the stitching and fabric on these looks cheap in person. True or False? Anyone know?
As for the other two versions of this shoe, I am undecided.
Now these... I duno. Everytime I see them I can't help but think they are a little doofy. They look kind of awkward, like a little kid pasted a bunch of paper to a pair of shoes in mommy's closet. They lack grace. Of course I have never seen them on a model. Every picture I've seen is like this. Maybe a pair of legs makes them fab?Making the world easier?

Five reasons I like Chris
1. Up for pretty much any adventure. Tonight's includes fried PB&J, street fighter II, and other BFFs.
2. An incredible cook. Will attempt to make any dish that anyone can think up, no matter how odd. (mac and cheese quesadillas anyone?)
3. Really good at fixing stuff I break. Examples include computers, wifi, futons (well didn't really fix that one, just hid the evidence for me.), cameras... You get the point.
4. Totally scaled a wall when locked out of 2nd story apartment. What the what?!
5. Listens to me talk about subjects like Christian Louboutin, Twilight, Betsey Johnson, and Perez Hilton.
Basically, Chris is invited to the hypothetical Sunday night pancake party.
In your face, Gwen Stefani!
L.A.M.B.

200 dollars for these WOMEN's (yes, I said women's) "boots."
not great, but not horrible either.
But NOW we are no longer talking. Friendship OVER. You can't come to my hypothetical Sunday night pancake party that I invented just so I could disinvite you.
I'm very upset about this.
NOT xoxo,

Ugh
Steffy: just buy it and you have the option to return
Me: ya but i won't, once i get it home i'll love it too much to part with it
Steffy: right but it just sounds healthy to give yourself the option
Me: im so glad i have you in my life, no one else understands
Steffy: no i do...like those camo shoes were fug in person, so I returned and bought 3 more pairs due to the trama of returning
Steffy: it all makes sense in the end
Things I am THIS CLOSE to buying
These are on sale for $100! Originally $250! And they just have my size, 7.5! Sign, yes?Tuesday, March 24, 2009
What the what?!

She should make a Robert Pattinson Twilight pony. Yes please. That pony and I would be BFF.

Motonari Ono RTW Fall 2009

Is GG new tonight? I'm so tired of this Dan + teacher storyline.
Maybe I'm just capricious...

Marni leather frame clutch. I really really WANT to like it. But there is something off here. Its like the detailing wants to be great, but doesn't match enough. I think maybe with a huge satin brown bow rather than a small black one, it would be brillz.

Marc by Marc Jacobs yellow peep toe pumps. For these I don't think the question is if they are great. I really like them, but I'm not sure they are a good fit for me. Could I pull these off? Would they make me look meh?
Lanvin bow clutch. I saw this in last month's Vogue and at first I was like, "Print? Fantastic! Bow? Fantastic!" But now I am more hesitant. I think it is the print that is throwing me off. I'm not huge on the colors and up close the pattern is kinda blurry or something. I can't put my finger on it.

These pokadot are my fave I think
