Miss Dita James

So I really don't want to be one of those people that blog about their cat, BUT Dita did something that I felt was worth sharing. Her favorite toy is this little brown fox that she chases and carries around in her mouth. So I kept putting it in my clothes drying rack because it was funny to watch her jump for it.So she jumped through the holes again and again to get her fox until one time, Dita got stuck.
Couldn't wiggle forward or backward as much as she tried. Completely stuck. Stuck enough to do nothing but glare while I went for the camera. This is how she felt about my photoshoot I'm sure:

stuff in the mail

I'm have a bit of a problem with online shopping. It's just so easy to do! It doesn't even feel like you are spending real money! Yikes.
That being said. Here is the most recent collection of my online shopping.

Betsey Johnson Wayfarers in purple leopard. I'm not really convinced that these will be a good shape for my face, but I LOVE Betsey Johnson. She can do almost no wrong. And I love purple and animal print. AND the thing that really got me was the little heart on the back (even though no one will ever see it). So let's hope they look good.

Enamel White Posie cocktail ring. Waaaaay too expensive for a ring I'm going to wear once every ever, but I closed my eyes and clicked the confirmation button anyway. Lovesit.

Heart measuring spoons. Freaking cute! Only six dollars too. Maybe makes up for ridiculous ring? ...Maybe not

Witty Banter and Bitter Diatribes with Jessen: Ninjacakes

Me: have you seen this??
Jessen: interesting
Jessen: so it's like ez cheese...but with batter
Me: so clean! I love that
Me: and it would be soo easy to make pancake shapes
Me: you know hearts, flowers, ninjas
Jessen: ninjacakes!
Jessen: yum
Jessen: tastier than regular pancakes...and they just sort of sneak into your tummy without you knowing
Me: when you are eating them your chewing sounds like the really bad sound effects from martial arts movies
Jessen: haaaaaah
Jessen: i know what you're talking about
These are pretty cool. They are just like whipcream cans and the batter is all organic. I want to be all housewife-ish and wear a cute apron and pearl earings while I make breakfast. I found these cute vintage style aprons on Etsy:

Bummer of the day

I am slightly undecided on how I feel about Lady GaGa. I WOULD like to learn the skill of making a bow out of one’s hair.

It would be such a great party trick. You’re at a dull party, cut to a Tasmanian Devil like wind tornado of blow dryers, combs and papier-mâché. And TAH-DAH! Very impressive.
But I digress. I always see pictures of her performing in these great tan Louboutin booties. And I secretly wanted them all this time.

So imagine my surprise when I was perusing the Barney’s website and saw they were on sale for around $300! A gift from the fashion deities! I honestly was thinking fashion karma was trying to make amends for the Holy Grail debacle.
And then I found out why they were on sale. They only have size 10.5 left. BOOOO.
Barneys, I can hear your evil laugh out there somewhere. You love to dash my hopes don’t you?

Dazzle your Co-Workers

A couple months ago, I got a sparkle stapler to liven up my cubicle. This morning as I gleefully stapled some very important (I'm sure..) documents together, I got to thinking, "Are there other wonderfully bejeweled office supplies out there?" Here's what I found. Sorry, no links. I found most everything in Google images. The scissors, mouse and tape dispenser are twins to my stapler. funOk, I clearly need pink staples for my bejeweled stapler. How funny. This coffee mug is like a *hint hint* to all feet dragging boyfriends. Not that I would want my engagement ring to look like that. But still pretty funny.
Best for last. How amazing is that? I need that sitting on my desk asap.

Whimsical Storage

Let's get away from my desperation for a bit. I found these spectacular filigree cabinets at anthropologie.

Pricey, but adorable. I'm a sucker for filigree. And picture them against a dark wall like hunter green or deep chocolate brown.Even an adorable matching piece! I imagine if I had these I would have to live in a charming cottage with forrest creatures. I would have to sing all the time and be BFF with a rabbit. It could totally happen.

Holy Grail Part 4

Ok so. This is the girl that has my shoes. This is her collection of Louboutins. Not her SHOE collection. Her LOUBOUTIN ONLY collection. I'm pretty sure she can spare the pair I want/need. UGH. Help me!

Holy Grail Part 3

MORE CONFIRMATION! thanks to everyone looking!

This was from a random shoe blog in March 2008... I think I will email the poster.

(and say what? gimme your shoes? kthxbye?)

Holy Grail Part 2

A SITING! They do exist!

Thanks to SMUSteffyLou's bril plan, we now have a picture!

I remembered seeing them in an episode of The City (yes i know, i watch The City...) in a cut away shot when Whitney and Olivia were visiting Bergdorf Goodman to meet Manolo Blahnik. And after getting Steffy to commiserate this fact with me while getting mani/pedis, she suggested I find the episode online and screenshot it! BRILLIANT!

Sadly, the shoes aren't on the Bergdorf website. Anyone know the lag time between The City's film and air date?

As Steffy would say, Le Sigh...

Fantastic headbands

I very much want these, but I'm almost completely sure I can't pull them off. Still... maybe.

Cheetah Guitar

So how bad would it be if I bought this $250 guitar? Now granted, I can't play guitar. (I can totally play guitar hero on medium though.)

But it is soooo Jem and the Holograms right?

Holy Grail

I will start this blog with the search for the Holy Grail. A glorious treasure that is rumored to exist, but has yet to be seen. I am starting this blog on a quest. I will forever search for this folkloric jewel...
A pair of royal blue Christian Louboutin Lady Gres 37942 pumps in satin.
